Locum Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant – Lima, OH-July & December Coverage

We are seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant for locum coverage in Lima, Ohio. This role includes OR, clinic, and inpatient rounding responsibilities with call coverage.

• July 18–25
• December 25
• OR, Clinic & Inpatient Rounds
• Level II Trauma Center
• Adult patient population
• EMR: Epic
• APP works autonomously (Physician present in OR/clinic)
• Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Evening & weekend call required
• Call ratio: ~7–10 days/month

Required Experience & Duties ✅ Requirements ✈️ Additional Details

• First assist in open heart, vascular & thoracic surgeries
• Chest tube insertions
• Thoracentesis
• Suture removal
• Pre-op physical exams
• Order tests
• Rounding
• Write prescriptions

Strong OR experience in cardiothoracic surgery is REQUIRED.

• NCCPA Certified – REQUIRED
• Active Ohio License (or willing to obtain) – REQUIRED
• BLS & ACLS – REQUIRED
• CT Surgery OR experience – REQUIRED
• Must be available for listed dates – REQUIRED
• NPDB Self-Query (within 30 days at presentation) – REQUIRED
