Urologist - Lead Robotic and Reconstructive Cases in Topeka, Kansas

Opportunity Highlights

• Full-time urology locum, ASAP start, ongoing need
• Initial 13-week block (08/02/2026–11/01/2026) with strong extension likelihood
• 5x8 AM shifts, 40 hrs/week
• 3 clinic days + 2 OR days per week
• da Vinci Xi robotic platform on-site
• Topeka, Kansas
• Epic EMR

Responsibilities & Duties

• Outpatient urology clinic, ~25–30 patients/day
• OR days: ~5–6 surgical cases/day
• Robotic and reconstructive urologic procedures
• Join an established 2-provider practice
• Optional participation in shared call rotation (24-hr nurse triage takes first call)

Candidate Qualifications

• Board eligible required; board certified preferred
• Active or obtainable Kansas medical license
• ATLS, PALS, BLS, ACLS, DEA current
• Completed ACGME urology residency

Key Responsibilities

• 3 clinic days/week (~25–30 patients/day), 2 OR days/week (~5–6 cases/day)
• General and robotic urologic surgery
• Pelvic floor reconstruction cases as applicable
• Optional shared call, pending client confirmation
• Epic documentation

Required Credentials / Licenses

• Active, unrestricted Kansas medical license (or obtainable pre-start)
• Board eligible in Urology (board certified preferred)
• Active ATLS, PALS, BLS, ACLS certifications
• Active DEA registration
• Clean background check, valid driver's license, current physical (facility credentialing requirements)

Required Experience

• MD/DO, ACGME-accredited Urology residency
• Experience managing a full surgical and clinic caseload independently
• Comfort with high OR volume (5–6 cases/day)

Preferred Qualifications

• Robotic surgical training/experience, ideally da Vinci platform
• Pelvic floor reconstruction experience or fellowship training
• Prior locum tenens experience
• Willingness to participate in shared call rotation if requested
• Flexibility to consider full-time or reduced schedule
