Division of Vascular Surgery | 80% FTE

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Vascular Access Surgeon to join a high‑volume, multidisciplinary dialysis access program. This role offers a balanced mix of outpatient access care, endovascular procedures, and operative interventions, with opportunities for academic involvement and future leadership development.

Role Highlights

  • 80% FTE (~4 days/week) split between the Vascular Access Center (A6) and the OR
  • High‑volume procedural practice: fistulograms, angioplasty, stenting, thrombectomy, tunneled catheter procedures
  • Operative work including AV fistula/graft creation, complex revisions, central venous interventions, HeRO grafts, CO₂ angiography, and advanced techniques
  • Shared OR block time (Wed/Thurs) with variable weekly structure
  • Collaborative model with Access Director

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Manage new access patients, postoperative care, and access complications
  • Perform 6–12 endovascular procedures/day in A6
  • Provide inpatient consults and urgent access care

Academic & Leadership Opportunities

  • Participate in clinical research and industry‑sponsored trials
  • Teach vascular surgery fellows and residents
  • Support program growth in advanced access services
  • Potential pathway to Director of Vascular Access

Qualifications

  • Board Certified/Eligible in Vascular Surgery
  • Expertise in dialysis access creation/revision, endovascular interventions, and catheter‑based procedures
