Penn State Health is a multi-hospital health system service patients and communities in scenic central Pennsylvania. We are hiring a Palliative Medicine Physician to join our growing team, hosting positions in either an academic or community setting. Position involves inpatient and outpatient options in collaboration with a fully staffed interdisciplinary team including spiritual care, social work, nutrition, and nursing.
Qualified individuals must have the ability to perform the following clinical duties:
- Perform Palliative Medicine consultations, document in the medical record and place orders
- Function on an interdisciplinary team
- Understand complex medical conditions
- Handle complex social dynamics with patients and their families.
- Meet the practical needs of the patient throughout the continuum of health care.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care across different settings by facilitating communication among providers

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- MD, DO, or foreign equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Palliative Medicine Fellowship
- BC/BE Hospice/Palliative Medicine
- Ability to acquire a license to practice Pennsylvania
