Hematology/Oncology Locum - November Start

A Kentucky outpatient oncology practice is seeking a Board-Certified Hematologist/Oncologist for a long-term locum opportunity beginning ASAP or November. This is a low-volume, collaborative practice with strong APP and infusion support.

Assignment Details

• Specialty: Hematology/Oncology
• Start Date: ASAP or November
• Reason for Need: Physician retirement
• Contract Length: 12 months preferred
• Schedule: Preferred 3 days per week
  • Client open to 2 providers alternating coverage
  • Flexible scheduling options including 1–2 weeks on/off
• Shift Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• No call required

Practice Setting

• Outpatient clinic/private practice setting
• Solo provider coverage model with collaborative team support

Patient & Clinical Details

• Approximately 15 patients per day
• Patient mix:
  • 60% Hematology
  • 40% Oncology/Solid Tumor
• Approximately:
  • 20% new consults
  • 80% follow-up visits
• High-acuity cases such as acute leukemias are typically referred to tertiary centers

Requirements

• Board Certified in: Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Medical Oncology
• Must have recent patient-facing clinical experience
