MaineHealth Cancer Care is seeking Oncologists and Hematologists to join a rapidly expanding Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology at sites throughout Maine. Positions are available for both sub-specialty based physicians as well as for general hematologist/oncologists. MaineHealth is a nationally recognized integrated care system that delivers highly coordinated, state-of-the-art, cancer and hematology care across a network that cares for over 8000 new cancer patients each year. The cancer and hematology programs have grown significantly over the past three years and exceed 80% market share across the state of Maine. The programs are academically affiliated with the Tufts University School of Medicine and include a fellowship training program as well as robust clinical and translational research efforts, with membership in both NCORP and the NCI cooperative groups. Prior experience in oncology within an academic health system or academically oriented private practice is preferred, although strong candidates in the early stages of their careers will be considered. Several practice locations within the system qualify as rural sites, with associated highly competitive compensation packages, work schedules, and relocation support.
