Hematology/Oncology Opportunity in Paducah, Kentucky

Join a well-established community oncology program in Paducah, Kentucky, serving a growing regional patient population with strong referral demand. This opportunity offers the autonomy of community practice with the resources of an integrated cancer center, including clinical trials, radiation oncology, an oncology pharmacy, a tumor registry, and dedicated patient navigators.

You’ll work alongside experienced physician and APC colleagues, with manageable inpatient responsibilities and mentorship available for early-career physicians.

Practice Overview

• Team of 2 Medical Oncologists and 3 Hem/Onc-trained APCs, with full RN/MA support and scribe availability
• Community-based oncology with academic collaboration through an NCI-designated cancer center affiliate network
• On-site radiation oncology, clinical trials, tumor registry, navigators, oncology pharmacy, and lab
• Broad case mix, from common to complex; BiTE therapy available; no pediatric oncology

Schedule

• Clinic hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, typically 4-5 days per week
• 13-15 patients per day, with ~700 analytic cancer cases annually and growing
• Minimal inpatient chemotherapy; average census of ~6 patients per physician, 1-3 new consults per day, and strong hospitalist support
• Call: rotating weekday coverage and every other weekend, expected to ease when the third physician joins

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $625,000 guaranteed for 3 years, with productivity bonus eligibility during the guarantee
• Productivity: $100 per wRVU above 6,916 annually; transition to productivity model after year three
• Incentives: $150,000 sign-on bonus, $10,000 relocation assistance, and $10,000 annual CME allowance
• Benefits: 35 days paid time off, occurrence-based malpractice with tail provided, retirement plan, health/dental/vision, disability coverage, and visa sponsorship (H-1B/J-1)

Candidate Requirements

• MD/DO; Board Eligible or Board Certified in Hematology/Medical Oncology
• U.S.-based residency and fellowship training required
• Open to experienced physicians and graduating fellows; mentorship available
• Interest in community oncology, with optional participation in research/clinical trials.
