MedStar Washington Hospital Center is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or a Physician Assistant for our Hematology/Oncology department. This position is full-time (1.0FTE) and is solely in the inpatient setting.
Schedule for this position is Monday - Friday, with option for call/weekend coverage. This role is ideal for an Advanced Practice Provider who values patient-centered care, thrives in a team environment, and is capable of navigating complex and sensitive conversations with patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct inpatient consults for new cancer or blood disorder cases
- Evaluate and manage new patients admitted to the hospital
- Follow up with established inpatients to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications:
- Completion and graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant Program or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program
- CPR certification required
- 1-2 years inpatient experience - preferred
- Eligible for Maryland and DC licenses

USD $115,003.00 - USD $189,999.00 /Yr.

Compensation Details
$115K–$189K
The hiring range is the range MedStar Health, in good faith, believes is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future and actual compensation may vary from posting based on work experience, education and/or skill level, etc. Even within the range, the actual compensation will vary depending on the above factors as well as market/business considerations.
