Daytime Hospitalist Physician Opportunity **Merit Health Wesley – Hattiesburg, Mississippi**
Merit Health Wesley is actively seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Daytime Hospitalist Physician (MD or DO) to join our collaborative inpatient team. **Position Highlights**
- Work-Life Balance: Preferred 7-on / 7-off block schedule featuring 12-hour daytime shifts only.
- Competitive Rate: $160 / hour base compensation.

**Clinical Responsibilities**
- Provide high-quality, comprehensive inpatient care for acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Manage daily patient census, admissions, and discharges with timely documentation.
- Procedure Coverage: Hospital-based procedures (Central lines, Intubations, Codes/Emergency response) are preferred, but NOT strictly required.
- Collaborate seamlessly with nursing staff, specialists, and ancillary clinical teams.
**Position Requirements**
- Education & Certification: MD or DO; Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine (IM).
- Licensure: Active Mississippi medical license (or eligible to obtain).
- Skills: Strong communication, teamwork, and decision-making skills suited for a fast-paced inpatient setting.
