How you'll make an impact in this role
We are looking for a Board Certified OBGYN MD/DO with 4 years experience for our new OB Hospitalist program.
The OB Hospitalist will be responsible for:
- Management of labor up to and including delivery, as requested by generalist physicians
- Urgent postpartum care as requested by the assigned physician
- Providing back-up and consultation for midwifery service
- Caring for all unassigned patients who present to the OB Unit or Emergency Room
- Triage of all patients who present to the unit unless directly admitted
- When requested, assist in cesarean deliveries
- Communicate with Maternal Fetal Medicine on consults & actions when requested
- Level III maternity center
- Level III NICU
- 24hr dedicated OB anesthesia

- Requirements: Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Call Schedule: dedicated on-site call coverage with frequency and responsibilities as noted above
Projected 2000 deliveries/year.

What minimum requirements you'll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Education:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.

- Surgical Proficiency: Physicians who are comfortable performing emergency GYN surgeries independently.
