Join our team at Madigan Army Medical Center on Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Lakewood, Washington, and make a meaningful impact by providing exceptional care to Active Duty service members, their families, and military retirees.
We are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible OB/GYN Laborist for an inpatient-focused Labor & Delivery position. Shifts are typically 11–14 hours (day or night), with scheduling based on patient care needs.
- Inpatient Labor & Delivery focus
- 11–14 hour day and night shifts
- Deliver routine and high-risk obstetrical care
- Perform vaginal and Cesarean deliveries
- Evaluate and manage obstetric emergencies
- Provide postpartum and immediate newborn care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and supervise residents
- Teach medical students, residents, and nursing trainees
- Utilize an advanced electronic medical record system
- Manage labor from admission through delivery and postpartum care
- Perform vaginal deliveries, Cesarean sections, and emergency OB/GYN procedures
- Assess maternal and fetal well-being and respond to obstetric emergencies
- Perform procedures including endometrial and cervical biopsies, D&C, cervical polyp removal, abscess drainage, and laceration repair
- Provide contraceptive counseling and treatment of gynecologic conditions
- Document patient care in accordance with military treatment facility standards
- Prescribe medications using hospital formulary guidelines
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology (ABOG)
- Minimum of one year of recent OB/GYN practice experience following residency
- Current, unrestricted Washington medical license
- Current ACLS, NRP, PALS, and BLS certifications
- U.S. Citizen or lawful permanent resident authorized to work in the U.S.
