How you'll make an impact in this role

This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated advanced practice provider to join a busy, well-respected practice, supported by a strong referral base and the full resources of a robust health system network.
* Join an established team of neonatologists and APPs
* Call structure: TBD (24/7 Neonatologist and APP coverage model)
* Practice setting: Inpatient (Level III NICU)
* Access to Sunrise Clinical Manager EMR, therapeutic hypothermia, jet ventilation, high-frequency oscillatory ventilation, neurally adjusted ventilatory assist (NAVA), and a ground-only critical care transport team
* Employed position within a nonprofit health system
* Board Certified or Board Eligible as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP), Neonatal-trained Physician Assistant (PA), or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) with a NICU residency
* Eligible for Indiana state medical licensure and DEA registration
* Manage complex medical treatments and diagnostic pathways for critically ill newborns, executing specialized bedside procedures such as intubations, umbilical line placements, lumbar punctures, and thoracentesis/chest tube placements.
* Attend high-risk deliveries to provide immediate stabilization, direct critical newborn care, and participate as a core member of the regional ground transport team to manage neonatal transit across the state.
* Master's or Doctorate degree required; at least 1 year of clinical experience in a Level III or IV NICU is preferred

What minimum requirements you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Nurse Practitioner specializing in Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

  • Master's degree of Nursing required.
