A true inpatient-focused role centered on labor and delivery coverage, emergency gynecology consults, and operative obstetrics. In-house call coverage creates a structured schedule with dedicated APP and midwife support.
Practice & Cases
- Inpatient-only Obstetrics and Gynecology coverage
- Labor and delivery triage, inpatient care, and emergency gynecology consults
- Vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&C procedures, and emergency gynecologic surgery
- Midwives and physician assistants provide additional support throughout the service
Schedule
- 24-hour in-house call shifts
- Multiple coverage blocks available
- Primary call physician remains onsite during assigned shifts
- Orientation completed prior to first coverage block
Requirements
- Must be an MD or DO
- Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Michigan license preferred; open to physicians with an active IMLC LOQ
- ACLS, BLS, and PALS required
Logistics
- Airfare, lodging, rental car, and mileage covered
- Travel accommodations arranged for scheduled coverage
