Pediatric Anesthesiology in St. Petersburg, Florida

The Department of Anesthesia at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital is recruiting several additional pediatric anesthesiologists to join our expanding team of 22 pediatric anesthesiologists and 20 CRNAs. Located in St. Petersburg, Florida, JHACH is a 259-bed teaching hospital ranked as a U.S. News & World Report Best Children’s Hospital in 8 pediatric specialties (2025-2026). We are ranked as #1 Children’s Hospital in Florida for the third consecutive year and the #4 Best Children’s Hospital in the Southeast. The volume is expanding and we are adding 4 additional ORs.

JHACH is the only US hospital outside the Baltimore/Washington, D.C. location that is part of the Johns Hopkins Medicine system. JHACH is a leading center in the world for managing neonates with CDH, EAT, scoliosis, congenital heart disease, and heart transplant. We are the world's largest CDH program, with about 70 cases per year. The Johns Hopkins All Children’s Heart Institute continues to grow, and the surgical volume is increasing as well.

JHACH has an ACGME-accredited pediatric anesthesia fellowship program, training the next generation of leaders in pediatric anesthesia. Our institution is very committed to supporting candidates with an interest in basic science, clinical and/or translational research. Qualified candidates are eligible for an academic appointment at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine (academic rank is open and commensurate with experience). There is a supportive infrastructure for clinical research with data scientists, epidemiologists, statisticians, and research assistants.

Tampa-St. Petersburg is centrally located to many of Florida's amenities, minutes from the beautiful Gulf beaches, 90 miles from Orlando, and four hours from Miami.
