Pediatric Anesthesiologist Opportunity | Dayton, OH

Dayton Children’s is seeking two full-time Locum Anesthesiologists for upcoming FMLA coverage. This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative pediatric anesthesia team at a leading children’s hospital.

Assignment Details Facility: Dayton Children’s Hospital – Dayton, OH Coverage Dates: • November 1, 2026 – February 28, 2027 • November 1, 2026 – April 30, 2027

Practice Setting: Hospital-Based Operating Rooms Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–3:30 PM Call Schedule: None Average Surgical Volume: 50–60 cases per day Operating Rooms: 14 Trauma Designation: ACS Level I Trauma Center

Practice Details • Join a collegial team of 22 anesthesiologists • Care team model with a mix of solo practice and CRNA supervision • Patient population ranges from neonatal through adult • Provide pediatric anesthesia services across multiple subspecialties (excluding cardiac and transplant surgery) • Supportive OR team including RNs, surgical techs, PCAs, surgeons, proceduralists, and APPs

Required Qualifications • Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Pediatric Anesthesiology • Completion of Pediatric Anesthesia Fellowship required • Active Ohio Medical License required • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required • Must have experience with:

• Neonatal, pediatric, and adult general surgical cases
• Thoracic cases (excluding open heart)
• Complex orthopedic cases
• Neurosurgical cases
• Ventilation management
• Arterial line placement preferred
• Acute volume/BP management preferred

Travel & Reimbursement • Mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate • Rental car, hotel, and flight reimbursement available per facility travel policy

Credentialing Requirements Upon Acceptance To avoid delays, the facility requires immediate submission of: • Internal credentialing confirmation (if applicable) • DOB and SSN • Medical license, DEA, CSR, and life certifications • CAQH login information • Home/current address and cell phone number • Agency credentialing contact information • Immediate fingerprinting after acceptance
