The Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital (JHACH) Division of Pediatric General Surgery is recruiting a fellowship-trained Pediatric Surgeon in St. Petersburg, Florida who is committed to advancing the mission of our nationally recognized Esophageal and Airway Treatment (EAT) Program. In addition to pediatric general surgery, you will join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team of surgeons and other pediatric subspecialists dedicated to providing innovative, comprehensive care for children with general surgical conditions and complex esophageal and airway conditions.
The Johns Hopkins All Children’s EAT Program is one of only a handful of dedicated pediatric programs in the nation offering comprehensive care for children with complex esophageal and airway disorders. We are a regional, national, and international referral center, providing advanced surgical options and long-term follow-up to optimize outcomes. Interest/expertise in complex airway reconstruction, advanced esophageal surgery, intensive care and related thoracic procedures is ideal. Our are collegial team of surgeons enthusiastic about mentorship. We are an ideal setting for mid-career, recent and new graduates. We will support the candidate’s development and skills growth as needed.

- Faculty for ACGME-approved pediatric surgery and surgical critical care fellowships.

- Level I ACS Children’s Surgical Verification - highest level of surgical quality and best outcomes for all surgical conditions.
- Comprehensive pediatric general surgery supporting level 4 NICU, Pediatric Oncology and Bone Marrow Program, Congenital Cardiac and Transplant Program, and Pediatric ER with 48,000 visits/year.
- EAT Program provides comprehensive thoracic surgical and medical care for children with esophageal atresia (including long-gap), tracheoesophageal fistula, esophageal strictures, tracheomalacia, laryngeal clefts, tracheal stenosis, subglottic stenosis, vascular rings, and chest wall anomalies.
- Surgical techniques include the Foker process for long-gap esophageal atresia, jejunal interposition, airway stenting and splinting, posterior and anterior tracheopexy, tracheal reconstruction, dynamic 3-phase bronchoscopy, and the use of nerve monitoring during complex procedures.
- Engaged in research initiatives, including national registries, surgical innovation, and outcome tracking, with opportunities for candidates to contribute to ongoing clinical and translational research, including artificial intelligence.

BE/BC in pediatric surgery with significant interest in thoracic surgery including complex pediatric esophageal and airway surgery in addition to pediatric general surgery. Commitment to multidisciplinary collaboration, innovative surgical approaches, and advancing outcomes research in pediatric airway and esophageal care.
