Pediatric Urgent Care - Texas Children's Urgent Care

We are excited to add new members to our urgent care team! Due to our current expansion, we are searching for individuals who have a love for pediatrics and desire to work in a fast-paced setting, providing exceptional care to patients and families. In this position, you will work side by side with physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and other critical health care team members. Your role will be to provide pediatric assessment, diagnosis, initiation of treatment, and determine the next best steps for the patient. We have a collaborative relationship with the Texas Children’s Hospital Emergency Centers, when next level care is needed.

We have multiple schedule options to meet your work life balance. Part time has the option of averaging 20 or 26 hours a week, full time is 36 hours a week. You are able to select a region to include clinics that work for your home base location. We are continuing to grow so you never know where the next clinic may pop up!

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) required
• BLS and PALS certification from the American Heart Association
• Completion of a Residency in Pediatrics required
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
• Must meet all normal credentialing requirements as verified and maintained by Physician Staff Services
• Ability to work well on a collaborative team
• Communicate clearly and efficiently in both language and documentation

Texas Children’s Urgent Care offers high quality, efficient and affordable after-hours patient care in 11 convenient community locations across the greater Houston area and 2 locations in Austin! Staffed by pediatric-trained providers, our Urgent Care team can diagnose and treat a wide variety of common pediatric ailments, illnesses and conditions, including asthma, strep throat, viral illnesses, fever, minor burns, ear infections, allergic reactions and more. We provide procedures such as antibiotic injections, breathing treatments, fracture care and splinting, point of care lab services, laceration repair and x-rays on-site.
