Our program offers diverse operative experiences and numerous opportunities for academic advancement. PGY-7 accommodates fellowship training, research, or advanced degree completion. Case complexity and graded autonomy enable graduates to be confident in their craft. And, residents enjoy genuine camaraderie and collaboration among each other. Our residents’ training is enriched through three tenets: * Patient Care: Residents learn early to deliver the highest level of care to our patients, many from sick and vulnerable populations. Our residents treat Baltimore and beyond. * Academic Excellence: Resident-led research across neurosurgery and neuroscience is fostered through faculty mentorship and collaboration. * Training the Future: Residents educate patients and peers, lead didactics, guide patient care discussions, and collaborate with faculty to make emergent and elective clinical decisions. Our graduates leave ready to lead their teams.
