The Penn Dermatology Residency program is one of the top training programs in the country. Our program provides foundational training in all aspects of dermatology, as we teach residents a scholarly approach to patient care, aimed at integrating clinicopathologic observation with an understanding of the pathophysiologic processes of dermatology. During training, our residents are taught by renowned faculty in diverse settings, including outpatient referral clinics, a top Children’s hospital, the Philadelphia VA, community hospitals, and a major tertiary care medical center. Our residents gain hands-on training in managing the entire breadth of dermatologic diseases in a diverse population. We provide flexibility to trainees to pursue subspeciality training to fully explore unique opportunities such as our Global Health Track, Medicine-Dermatology program, Health Care Quality track, and more. Graduates match in top fellowships and are highly recruited to top academic programs, and often emerge as leaders in the field of Dermatology.
