Neurology Residency Program · Philadelphia, PA
The Neurology Residency Program at the University of Pennsylvania creates leaders in Neurology. Our program balances clinical training, a broad educational curriculum, and career development. Additional programs of focus include Research, Education, Global Health, and Quality Improvement. There is significant protected time for all residents to explore individual interests, and an NINDS R25 grant allows research-oriented residents to apply for more laboratory time. In addition to eight didactic conferences per week, our residents participate in weekly discussion groups that consider career and wellness topics. We are located on the historic campus of the University of Pennsylvania, and within the vibrant center of downtown Philadelphia. Most residents walk or bike to work and all develop rich friendships during their time here. Following residency, 98% of our graduates complete at least one year of fellowship training in diverse fields. Ultimately, our residents choose academic positions at top neurology departments across the country.
