The Dermatology Residency at Mayo Clinic's campus in Jacksonville, Florida, offers an outstanding educational experience that combines a one-year Internal Medicine Preliminary Residency (PGY-1) with a three-year Dermatology Residency (PGY-2 through PGY-4). As a resident, you will learn the specialty of dermatology within the integrated Mayo system, renowned for quality medical care and health care innovation. Highlights of the Dermatology Residency include: -A learning environment that maximizes the opportunity for individual achievement in a supportive, collegial, and academic setting -Exposure to subspecialty areas on a weekly basis including general dermatology, dermatopathology, cosmetic dermatology, and pediatric dermatology -Away rotations: one month at Mayo Clinic's campus in Rochester, Minnesota (during the first year) and one month at Phoenix Children's Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona (during the second and third year) -Two months of elective time -Up to six trip days a year per resident to present your research at meetings -Mentoring program to create connections for future career success The Dermatology Residency prepares you for a successful career in private practice or academic medicine.
