Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science (Rochester)
Otolaryngology Residency Program · Rochester, MN
In the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, we pride ourselves on the mentorship model for residency training. This model pairs one staff member with one resident for 10-11 weeks at a time during the PGY-2 through PGY-4 years, allowing for full immersion in each subspecialty. We find that working alongside one staff member for an extended period of time accelerates the surgical training of our residents. Training culminates in the PGY-5 year when chief residents serve as associate staff, running their own clinic and functioning independently with supervision from consulting staff. Mayo Clinic is a renowned institution. This year, we were honored to be ranked the #1 Hospital and Department of Otolaryngology in the nation by US News & World Report. We continue to strive for excellence in all aspects of patient care and are grateful for a dedicated team that helps make this happen. We are excited to recruit trainees who have a passion for Otolaryngology and desire to contribute to the health and well-being of patients in both tertiary and community care settings and continue to make this the best training program in the country.
