Our LSUHSC Diagnostic Radiology Residency program is comprised of physicians across different genders, cultures and geographic locations of training who will educate and train skilled and diverse residents to care for a vulnerable community of patients in New Orleans and throughout Louisiana. In tandem with the overall mission of LSUHSC, we strive to prepare our residents to prioritize patient safety, to value interprofessional teamwork, and to improve healthcare quality for all. Our program strives to prepare residents for both academic and private practice radiology. WE are committed to our educational and clinical research endeavors, as they, along with clinical training, are essential to our mission. We also understand the significance of our presence within the overall academic mission at the hospital, university and community. We are active participants in interdisciplinary and inter-professional teams to provide our patients better care and to improve the overall care of our community. Finally, we aim to not only prepare the radiologists who will care for the patients of Louisiana, but we will also aspire to create the next generation of leaders in radiology within their communities.
