Our mission at the ophthalmology department at NYU Langone Health is to provide a rich and comprehensive educational environment to our residents. We take pride in training outstanding ophthalmologists under the tutelage of engaged faculty in all subspecialties. Our program combines two municipal hospitals, the hospitals of NYU Langone Health, the NYU Eye Center and faculty group practice, and the Manhattan VA. This setting provides a broad range of clinical and surgical cases for residency training. We are fortunate to have had a long history of dedication to education at NYU. Recent years have seen a rapid expansion of clinical and research faculty. Our patient base and dedication to educational innovation provides the critical thinking tools that ultimately help our residents provide the highest quality of care and become leaders in the ophthalmology field.
