Our training program has a history of commitment to graduate medical education, cutting-edge research and patient-centered clinical activity dating back to the 1970’s. This commitment to excellence in education offers residents an opportunity to learn in a dynamic program where residents and faculty work side by side in a spirit of collegiality. Program highlights include a high volume of pediatric exposure, significant brachytherapy volume including MRI Based gynecologic brachytherapy and prostate seed implants. Graduates obtain robust radiosurgery and SBRT experience and also rotate through the Cincinnati Children's/UC Health Proton Therapy Center for treatment of adults and children. This center offers the only dedicated research gantry available internationally. The program offers 7 months of elective time offering significant flexibility in tailoring a resident's educational and career goals. University of Cincinnati graduates rank in the top 25% of all programs for the American Board of Radiology Exams.
