The University of Rochester Adult Neurology residency program emphasizes mastery of both general and subspecialty clinical neurology, development of residents into inspired educators, and advancement of the field by fostering intellectual curiosity and scholarship. Residents are exposed to the full spectrum of neurological conditions in a diverse patient population from the greater Rochester region as well as from a large catchment area from New York and surrounding states. A close knit, collegial atmosphere exists between faculty, residents, and staff. Flexibility in resident schedules allows for ample elective time and ability to participate in research, education, quality improvement, and experiences abroad in Europe, Africa, and South America.
