Rich in culture and history, beautiful San Antonio is the 7th largest city in America and boasts one of the fastest growing pediatric populations in the country. Our program, housed in our city’s only freestanding children’s hospital, joins the latest concepts in medical education with the flexibility to innovate. We have merged the Baylor College of Medicine standard of excellence with a family feel and a learner-driven, personalized curriculum. Our residents enjoy close interactions with faculty and help to guide the growth and development of our program. They have myriad advocacy opportunities, working with vulnerable populations, serving the underserved, and working with legislators and media to build support for patients and families. We offer innovative educational platforms including our longitudinal mental health curriculum, culinary health program, resident scholarship focus, and medical education training. Our X+Y schedule has allowed us to implement a focused longitudinal ambulatory experience throughout residency training.
