Respect – We respect all people and aim to create an inclusive, welcoming environment. Equity – We want to lift up those who are under-resourced or minoritized and create true equity in our care of our patients and each other. Service – As a member of our community, we have an obligation to serve those around us. The Ohio State University (OSU) Wexner Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Program (https://medicine.osu.edu/departments/family-medicine/education/residency) has a nurturing learning environment that allows residents to grow both personally and professionally. Residents enjoy the dedicated teaching of experienced family physicians in the office and on an unopposed inpatient service at a large urban community hospital, while being exposed to cutting edge medicine on specialty rotations at a major academic medical center. Our university-based family medicine program is a 9,9,9 residency program that emphasizes full-spectrum family medicine through specialty rotations at the OSU Wexner Medical Center, a nationally ranked, academic medical center. Our inpatient service at University Hospitals East allows family medicine residents to develop their clinical and technical skills in a supportive environment with dedicated family medicine faculty. Residents follow their continuity patients at one of two clinic sites. The OSU Rardin Family Practice Center is located just north of the OSU campus and serves a diverse patient population, providingcare for infants to elderly patients and everywhere in between.. OSU Outpatient Care East, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), is located close to University Hospitals East and serves a mostly underrepresented, urban community of Columbus. In addition to obtaining excellent training to become family physicians, residents interested may also choose additional training in teaching, scholarship, and research, with an option to obtain a tuition discounted post graduate MPH or MBA degree.
