The Urology Residency Program at UTMB is a five-year program, currently one resident per year, but will begin expanding to 2 per year beginning in July 2020. Our program has a strong clinical component, and graduating residents finish the program with the skills and knowledge to care for a wide breadth of urologic pathology. We have Xi and Si dual console robots. The Urology program functions within 2 main hospitals and multiple outpatient settings. A unique resource is our Texas Department of Correctional Justice clinic and hospital where we serve the urologic needs of approximately 75% of the prison population within the state. We have both general and fellowship trained faculty who work with residents on a daily basis. We offer offsite rotations in oncology at MD Anderson and Pediatrics at Texas Children’s Hospital.
