The WellStar Atlanta Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Program welcomes dedicated medical school graduates committed to serving families and communities. Residents enjoy the respect of caring faculty members and daily opportunities for mentoring and collaboration. The focus is on learning by doing with the opportunity to treat patients with an extraordinary diversity of conditions. We opened in 1994 and were the first family medicine program in Atlanta. Our residents learn full breadth of family medicine and have a 100% pass rate on their boards for the last 7 years. While we are a small program our residents have done big things. For instance, one of our residents served on the board of the AMA representing all FM residents in the country. Another won 1st place in the national research award given at the yearly FM national resident conference in Kansas City. We hope you will come to visit us!
