Welcome to the Children’s Mercy Pediatric Residency Program! We are excited that you are interested in learning more about our pediatrics program. A residency training experience at Children’s Mercy combines outstanding clinical experiences covering the entire array of pediatric medicine through an extremely diverse patient population. Residents have the opportunity to work alongside dedicated pediatric faculty with a focus on academic medicine and a passion for teaching. With more than 500 faculty members in our divisions, sections, and centers of excellence, you'll have support from the Department of Pediatrics, one of the largest and most comprehensive in the country. Our residents complete their training as outstanding general pediatricians, who are well prepared to work in a variety of clinical settings. We are proud that our graduates are extremely successful in garnering competitive fellowship positions and are highly sought after for general pediatric jobs, ranging from community pediatrics to hospital medicine.
