The Johns Hopkins Radiation Oncology residency program includes 16 outstanding residents from diverse personal and professional backgrounds. Our expert faculty is composed of 24 clinical faculty, 6 molecular radiation sciences faculty, and 19 PhD level physicists. Residents train 1-on-1 with faculty to learn advanced techniques including IMRT, IGRT, SRS, SBRT, HDR and LDR brachytherapy, MRI -guided gynecologic brachytherapy, radiopharmaceutical therapy, and proton therapy with disease-site experts. The Johns Hopkins Comprehensive Cancer Center was one of the first in the country, and residents benefit from the multidisciplinary team approach with surgical and medical oncologists, as well as expert radiologists, pathologists, and other specialists. Residents have 12 months of dedicated research time with opportunities for research across the broad spectrum of Johns Hopkins University, School of Medicine and School of Public Health. Our residents are rigorously trained and also develop unique interests and skills that equip them to become leaders in radiation oncology and cancer research.
