Dermatology Residency Program · Gainesville, FL
UF Dermatology provides residents with a broad range of training to achieve competence in all aspects of dermatology. We offer clinics in general, pediatric, surgical and cosmetic dermatology, inpatient consultative dermatology along with subspecialty clinics. We offer senior residents a transition to practice clinic to provide longitudinal care with greater autonomy. Teaching sites include UF Health locations in Gainesville and Jacksonville and the VAMC in Gainesville. UF Dermatology also has one of the largest academic dermatopathology practices in the nation. Our program provides our residents with 30 or more hours of didactic training monthly, with participation or guidance by faculty in 50 percent of didactic sessions. We value compassionate care, education of future leaders, and research and inquiry. Our residents receive mentorship in career goals, research, and quality improvement. We believe mentorship fosters innovation and advances the field. This has helped our graduates obtain their choice of fellowship subspecialty training, as well as faculty positions in academic centers.
