Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital is a free standing children's hospital with leading faculty in all fields of pediatric medicine. Our residency program takes pride in transitioning talented medical students into outstanding and compassionate physicians. Rainbow has a long history of innovation exemplified by a new system of individual advising and clinical coaching in addition to our participation as one of five programs in the country to revamp the ambulatory component of our residency. In 2018, the state of the art UH Rainbow Center for Women and Children, embedded within the community, opened providing primary care, mental health, dental screenings, and eye exams. The Center also includes medical legal partnership, WIC, and social navigation services. For those looking to enhance their education, we currently offer four tracks including Global Health, Advocacy, Mental Health, and Research, with plans to add Primary Care and Medical Education tracks.
