The University of Kansas Internal Medicine Residency Training Program is a mid-size program located in Kansas City, Kansas. We recruit resident physicians that possess a strong work ethic, a kind and empathetic personality, and an internal drive towards the achievement of excellence with maintenance of humility. We provide our residents with a rotational framework that ensures a high level of competency in all areas of Internal Medicine with allowance for an individualized education plan in order to meet personalized goals. Our residents spend the majority of their clinical time within the University of Kansas Health System with additional exposures through our VA affiliates. The University of Kansas Health System is a not for profit facility that serves more than 30,000 inpatients annually. Amongst many other awards and designations, 6 of our medical and surgical specialty areas are ranked nationally by the U.S. News & World Report.
