The MedStar Health/Georgetown-National Rehabilitation Hospital PM&R Residency Training Program has a four-year categorical educational curriculum. Residents will spend their PGY1 year alongside the MedStar Washington Hospital Center interns in Preliminary Medicine and will complete PGY2-4 at the MedStar National Rehabilitation Hospital and other sites. Our program has many unique features including: -ample elective time starting as early as the PGY2 year-research track potentially with the National Institutes of Health-weekly continuity clinic-regular physician wellness activities -a broad-based curriculum with access to all PM&R subspecialty areas-ACGME accredited sports medicine and brain injury medicine fellowships and a non-accredited cancer rehabilitation medicine fellowship-pediatric rehabilitation fellowship (and core rotations) at nearby Children’s National Medical Center-abundant sports event coverage opportunities-electrodiagnosis training at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center
