South Nassau Communities Hospital’s Family Medicine Residency Program is sponsored by the Icahn School of Medicine as of July 2019. As one of the most established residency programs (we have been around for more than 40 years) we provide lots of hands on patient care, strong didactics, and opportunities to pursue your passions in a supportive, fun, and nurturing environment. Located in a suburban setting 40 minutes from midtown Manhattan, our Family Medicine population is diverse and often underserved. Our practice provides care to a large pediatrics, geriatrics and women’s health population, including a large volume obstetrics practice. Our Family Medicine attendings are multifaceted, and have fellowship training and / or subspecialty certifications in Sports Medicine, Geriatrics, Faculty Development, Women’s Health, and Adolescent Medicine.
