Accredited since 1979, and having graduated more than 150 residents, we welcome you to the Heritage Valley Family Medicine Residency Program. Affiliated with the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, our program emphasizes all dimensions of Family Medicine from newborn care to managing complicated ICU patients to seeing patients in one of our specialty clinics that include Geriatrics, Procedures, OMT, Mental Health and GYN. We pride ourselves in having our residents complete all rotations within the system, except for the opportunity to rotate at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. As an unopposed program, our residents gain first-hand experience in procedures, deliveries and managing complex cases. Outpatient training occurs at the Family Medicine Center in Beaver Falls, PA which embraces the integrated care model and the principles of the Patient Centered Medical Home in order to thrive in the ever-changing, quality driven healthcare environment.
