Strengths of the program include early procedural opportunities, strong critical care and EM rotations, exposure to post-residency clinical site variety (from academic to community (urban/suburban/rural)), exposure to fellowship opportunities and tracks (Toxicology, EMS, Peds EM, Quality and Patient Safety, Ultrasound, International, Critical Care and Sports Medicine), all with an excellent educational and well-being focus. Regions Hospital is a privately owned former county hospital that serves a unique blend of privately insured and under-served patients within the St. Paul metropolitan area and Western Wisconsin, and is a Level 1 Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center, Heart Center, Stroke Center and Regional Burn Center.
