The University of Florida Department of Urology has a 60-year tradition of training some of the finest urologists in the country. UF is located in Gainesville, Florida, the eclectic fusion of outdoor adventures and artsy vibes in a small college town. Our singular education mission is to provide all-encompassing professional and personal support to trainees as they launch a successful career in urology. Residents work with faculty, themselves trained at diverse and prestigious institutions, in a mentorship model. Our training institutions include a tertiary referral medical center, children’s hospital, VA hospital, and urology clinic all on the same medical campus within a 5 minute walk. As a department, we take pride our emphasis on resident wellbeing and adaptability to resident concerns. Our faculty and program coordinators meet with residents throughout the year, and the department meets formally once yearly to review ways to improve all aspects of the training program.
