The Medical College of Georgia (MCG) Internal Medicine Residency Program at Augusta University Health System. We are the state of Georgia's only public academic medical center. Here, our 74 residents are immersed in diverse clinical settings at our 450 bed AU Health hospital, AU Health ambulatory clinics, as well as the 150 bed Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center and clinics. The educational and working environment is trainee focused and includes learning from direct patient care, bedside rounds, daily didactics, morning report, quality improvement and safety initiatives, and board review. There are numerous opportunities for electives and research. Our trainees have success achieving their career goals of pursuing fellowships, academic medicine, or private practice.
