• ACGME accredited 5-year urology residency program with 10 fellowship-trained faculty • Match 3 residents/year • URO-1/PGY-1 year includes 6 months of urology • Training occurs at: (1) Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center; (2) Penn State Cancer Institute; (3) Penn State Children’s Hospital • Community practice rotation (4 months) during URO-4 year starting 2021 • Preceptorship model of clinical and operative learning (1 faculty: 1 resident) • Early operative exposure and a variety of research opportunities including clinical trials, investigator initiated prospective trials and use of institutional/regional/national databases • Robust educational curriculum: urology faculty + off-service specialists given didactics, oral board format clinical presentations, simulation labs, journal clubs • Residents graduate with well-balanced skills in robotic, laparoscopic, open, and endoscopic skills—ready for private practice or entrance into fellowship training
