The Orthopedic Surgery Residency Program at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School is devoted to producing honest and ethical surgeons whose credentials for teaching, service and research are excellent. A superb, privademic, dedicated teaching staff, with fellowship training in every subspecialty, has been effective in accomplishing these goals. The high volume and breadth of surgical cases combined with an excellent office experience results in an extremely comprehensive education. Working at a Level 1 trauma center and working with two NCAA Division 1 athletic programs provides a tremendous experience for the residents. A busy pediatric orthopaedic service provides exposure to this population during all five years of residency training. The suburban location of Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and its affiliate teaching institution St. Peter’s University Hospital provide an environment that satisfies the varied cultural, athletic and educational needs for a comprehensive education in orthopaedic surgery.
