The neurology residency program at Rush University Medical Center is an advanced three-year residency program (with a guaranteed preliminary year in Internal Medicine at Rush for those trainees who desire this option). We have a strong commitment to excellence in patient care and research and foster an environment where residents build skills in clinical inpatient and outpatient neurology while being supervised by more than 60 full-time faculty clinical neurologists at Rush University Medical Center and John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County. The Department of Neurological Sciences at Rush consists of 10 sections and centers devoted to the clinical care and investigation of neurologic disorders: general neurology, cerebrovascular disease, neurological critical care, epilepsy and clinical neurophysiology, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis, neuromuscular disease, neuro-ophthalmology, neuro-oncology, and the Rush Alzheimer’s Disease Center. The Department of Neurological Sciences at Rush has a long history of devotion to the education of neurology residents. Residents benefit from a large dedicated faculty, a diverse and extensive patient base, and daily conferences for the education of our residents.
