Medstar Georgetown - NIH Neurology Residency Program provides training across the depth and breath of Neurology. Residents train at inpatient services in 2 institutions (Medstar Georgetown University Hospital and Medstar Washington Hospital Center). There are multiple outpatient rotations in various subspecialty clinics including Movement Disorders, Headache, MS, Neuromuscular and Epilepsy. The program provides several unique opportunities. All residents rotate at the National Institute of Health. Residents are given ample elective time to foster their individual growth and further explore their interest in Neurology. The Clinician Scientist Track allows one resident per class dedicated research time at the NIH with a faculty mentor. The program also provides an opportunity for residents to experience international health via the Global Health track which includes didactics and an abroad rotation.
