NYU Grossman School of Medicine’s Radiation Oncology Residency is a four-year program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. The comprehensive curriculum and training experience prepare residents to offer excellent patient care, perform cutting edge research and become leaders in the field. Residents begin training in the second postgraduate year (PGY-2), after completion of intern year. Residents work with patients at both NYU Langone Health-Tisch Hospital and NYC Health and Hospitals- Bellevue Hospital which gives them an opportunity to interact with diverse patient populations. In addition to clinical training, residents attend didactics in clinical radiation oncology, radiation biology, radiation physics and multidisciplinary tumor boards. We strongly encourage residents to participate in research. All residents have 12 months of protected research time. We participate in the American Board of Radiology’s Holman Research Pathway, which provides 18-21 months of research time to trainees who are committed to a research career.
