Neurological Surgery Residency Program · Columbus, OH
The Neurosurgery Program at The Ohio State University has become a leader in clinical care, research, and education. We perform over 7500 cases annually and over 900 radiosurgery cases. Our trainees at just 2 sites, the University Hospital/James Cancer Center, and at our Nationwide Children’s Hospital, which is unique for a program of this size. Being at just two primary sites lessens the call burden and increases access to complex cases/research opportunities. Our trainees get two elective years. We offer a clinical research track in which chief year can be done as a PGY6 allowing for a CAST accredited PGY7 fellowship, or residents can opt for 2 protected years in the lab. In 2024 we had over $14 million in total research funding. With our complex case volume, our highly subspecialized faculty, and our flexibility in training, there isn’t a better place to train to be a leader in neurosurgery!
