Internal Medicine Residency Program · Cleveland, OH
MetroHealth Medical Center is an academic medical center and teaching center of Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. The goal of the Department of Medicine at MetroHealth is to train the quintessential internist. Our residents leave here well-prepared for life outside residency, no matter their path - be it subspecialty fellowship, hospital medicine or primary care and they have successfully pursued careers in both the academic and private setting. We feel this is primarily due to our program's greatest strength which is the autonomy afforded to our residents. They leave here thinking like an internist. As Cleveland's first hospital, MetroHealth has served Northeast Ohio for over a century, providing world-class care to patients suffering from both routine medical problems and life-threatening conditions regardless of their ability to pay. Our program wishes to continue this rich and noble tradition by creating a scholarly atmosphere for our residents to learn and practice and we hope to attract those students who share these ideals.
