  • Maintains a Quality Assurance Program that defines methods for the identification and selection of clini­cal and administrative problems, along with strategies for corrective action to better provide services in accordance with current standards of professional practice.

    Prescribes medical care for each client as needed, including medications, therapies and spe­cial diets, and such other care as necessary. Indicates any restriction on personal activity.

    Supervises the clinic ‘s medical staff: The Associate medical director, the Nurse Practitioners and the physicians and collaborates with the Director of Psychiatry on the supervision of the PNP.

    In concert with the nursing staff, maintains ongoing communication with clients' primary care physicians to coordinate treatments.

    Provides interim medical care and referral for new clients who are not yet medically affili­ated.

    Provides clinical updates on AIDS issues and education on medical, health, and pharmaceu­tical issues to staff and clients.

    When appropriate, provides on‑site emergency care.

    Maintains an agency‑specific DEA number and, with Nurse Coordinator, supervises off-site pharmacy services.

    Provides primary care services including coordination of inpatient patient and emergency room services.

    Performs and coordinates needed medical services including initial medical assessments and on-site laboratory procedures.

    Takes call as needed by the Primary Care Clinic and Managed Care Physician Network.

    Monitors the quality of care rendered at the Primary Care Clinic.

    Monitors and maintains an internal quality assurance program for the Primary Care Clinic.

    Compensation Details

    $210-220k
