Practice Setting
- Inpatient pediatric department
- Low-volume unit with only 6 pediatric beds
- Beeper call only — no overnight in-hospital coverage
- Supported by 2 RNs on-site
Schedule
- 24-hour call shifts, 7am–7am
- Only 1–2 weekends per month needed — you choose
- Block scheduling and long-term availability possible
- Summer start — June dates still open
- No supervision or teaching required
Procedures and Cases
- Age range: birth through 18 years
- Must be comfortable with UVCs
- Assigned and unassigned patients during call
- No surgical privileges required
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 5 years) in Pediatrics
- Active Virginia license or IMLC LOQ
- Minimum 3 years of experience
- PALS certification required
Credentialing Requirements
- Estimated credentialing time: 60 days
- Temporary privileges available
